Valentine’s Day with a Difference

On Saturday night, the Hangar hosted 22 couples for our Valentine’s Special.

The three-course Valentine’s meal, accompanied by acoustic music, led to a relaxed and informal evening, enjoyed by all.

The elegant starter of smoked salmon or hummus & roasted vegetables, was followed by tender lemon & thyme chicken or vegetarian curry, rounded off with smooth chocolate brownie or summery berry compote.  Prosecco, wine and beer was in plentiful supply.

Our VIP competition winners enjoyed the evening.

Locally based duo, Antonia and James Goddard, have been playing together for a couple of years and are used to playing events in and around Guildford.  Combining male and female vocals, their soft and harmonic tones suited the occasion and the various musical genres.  With a mix of covers and original songs, old classics and current chart hits, including Cold Play, Bryan Adams and Take That, this rounded off the evening nicely.

All in all, it was a unique way to spend time with your valentine!
