Senior Retail Assistant
Hogs Back Brewery is a thriving, family-owned business with a loyal customer base and a great reputation in the local area and beyond.
The Brewery Shop, Drive Through and online business is a key revenue and profit generator for the business and has grown considerably in the last 18 months. Building from this base, we are looking to take the business to the next level.
This is a varied and busy customer-facing role, supporting the Retail Manager to deliver the revenue and profit targets, as well as delivering an exceptional customer experience.
As an integral part of the senior retail team, you will step up and assume responsibility for delivering Executional Excellence in the day-to-day running of the Shop, Drive Through and online business, including maintaining the excellent quality of beer sold from the Brewery Shop cellar. You will also be responsible for identifying new growth opportunities and their implementation, as well as helping to maximise the Local Delivery proposition, working alongside Marketing & Logistics.
The ideal candidate will have retail and e-commerce experience, man-management skills, a genuine interest and enthusiasm for beer and the ambition to really make a difference as part of a team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
We will also be looking for strong interpersonal skills, commercial awareness, good IT skills and experience in quality control, merchandising and planning, as well as an ability to roll your sleeves up on a day-to-day basis.
Ideally living within 15-20 minutes of the Brewery, you will work 42.5 hours a week. The shifts will flex, as you and your fellow senior retail colleagues will cover the 7 day a week opening hours of the Brewery Shop and Drive Through. Your shifts will include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
You may be offered additional hours, particularly in busy periods, such as Christmas. Flexibility to work in the Brewery Tap would be an advantage.
Salary will be dependent on experience. 25 days holiday a year.
