What better place to enjoy a pint than at a brewery? We’ve converted the hop kiln, which once used to dry the locally grown hops, into the new Hogs Back Tap. There’s no need to book, but feel free to reserve a space if you prefer.

BREWERY TAP
Try out the newly redecorated quirky and unique Tap Room – with a bar crafted from aged whiskey barrels, comfy sofas, a cosy wood burner, upcycled tables made from old brewery casks and historic hop garden images adorning the walls.
THE HANGAR
The Hangar, complete with hop picker and drying kiln, is used in September for harvesting. The rest of the year it doubles as a unique bar and event space. It’s even available for private hire for your special occasion!

You can’t miss the new marquee at the entrance to the Tap! With plenty of seating, and our wood-fired pizza oven, it’s shaded in summer and heated in winter

How about this for a beer garden? Overlooking the hop garden, in the beautiful Surrey countryside, you can’t beat it.
BREWERY FRESH BEER
The beer is as fresh as it gets, served straight from the cellar and served from Snorters, our reusable glass flagons. Choose from TEA (Traditional English Ale), Surrey Nirvana Session IPA, Hog IPA, Hogstar lager, Hazy Hog cider and look out for our limited editions, such as Citrus Pale Ale and Juicy Hog. We’re Cask Marque accredited too!
But if you don’t fancy a beer, there’s soft drinks, wine, Prosecco and locally distilled spirits to tempt you.
TEMPTING NEW MENU
Our new menu is filled with dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible. Choose from wood-fired sourdough pizzas, homemade burgers, sharing boards, seasonal dishes and weekly changing kitchen specials. LIVE EVENTS
We host live music, comedy nights, film showing, charity quiz nights, live sport screening and much, much more. There’s been notable performance from Milton Jones, Reginald D. Hunter, Seth Lakeman & Kathryn Roberts and Martin Harley to name but a few. Look out for Hoptoberfest, Hop Harvest Barn Dance and Hop Harvest Festival & TEA Party – all coming soon.
WE ARE DOG-FRIENDLY
We welcome all well-behaved dogs into the Tap. We know they can be as much a part of the family as anyone else, and with some great local walking and cycling routes, why not bring them along?
THE IMPORTANT BIT
There are tables and benches in the Tap Room, Hangar, Beer Garden and Marquee, so take your pick. You don’t need to book but we strongly recommend you reserve a space.
We are upgrading our booking system so you can now choose where you would like to sit and pick a start and finish time for your booking to suit you.
When you arrive, please check in at the Bar and we’ll confirm your table number.
When you are ready to order your food and drinks, simply go to the Bar (please don’t forget your table number).
Cards and contactless payments preferred but you can also pay by cash.
Tickets for events are priced according to the event and T&Cs may vary. If there is a ticketed event taking place in the Hangar, we regret this area will be unavailable to the general public or those visitors who have been on a Brewery Tour. However, you may be able to purchase spare tickets.

Do you host private events in the Tap Room and Hangar?
Yes we do. Please contact bar@hogsback.co.uk if you have a particular date and time in mind and we will get back to you with all the options.
When is the Brewery Tap open?
The Tap Room is normally open Thursday to Sunday but will be open on more days for Christmas and New Year. Please see the latest times.
When is the Hangar open?
The Hangar is normally open Thursday to Sunday but will be open on more days for Christmas and New Year. The Hangar is our large events space and so it may be closed due to events. Please check the calendar to see if the Hangar is available on your preferred date.
When is the Beer Garden open?
The Beer Garden is open Thursday to Sunday. Please see the latest times.
When is the Marquee open?
The Marquee is normally open Thursday to Sunday but will be open on more days for Christmas and New Year. Please see the latest times.
The marquee also serves as our small events space, with our wood-fired pizza oven.
Do you serve alcohol before 12 noon?
Yes, we do. But we also serve a range of teas and coffees as well as soft drinks.
Can I reserve a table?
Yes, you can reserve a table for up to 10 people. For 11 people or more, please contact bar@hogsback.co.uk with your preferred date and time. The Team will get back to you as soon as possible about your enquiry.
Can I reserve a table in a particular area?
Yes, our new booking system allows you to book a table in the Tap Room, Hangar, Beer Garden or Marquee.
What is included in my booking?
We have recently changed our booking policy. If you made an online reservation before 16th May (regardless of the date you will be visiting), there is a £5 deposit per person booked and this is deducted when you order. The deposit must be used on the day of the booking and is not transferrable or refundable. If you booked after 16th May, there is no deposit.
Do you have to pre-book a table?
No, you are welcome just to turn up but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis. But in order to better manage our space, staffing and menus, we recommend you book.
Are children welcome in the Brewery Tap/Hangar/Beer Garden?
Yes, well-behaved children are welcome. The accompanying adult is responsible. No unaccompanied children. We operate Challenge 25 so if you are lucky enough to look under 25, you will be asked to show ID at the bar. We offer a children’s menu and a range of soft drinks.
Are dogs welcome in the Brewery Tap/Hangar/Beer Garden?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome but you must clean up after them. We provide drinking water and bowls for the dogs. We even sell dog-friendly ice-cream!

Which charities do you support with your monthly charity quiz?
We choose a charity each month to support. Details of each month's charity are shown on the Quiz booking page.
If there is a ticketed event in the Hangar, can I sit there?
No, but if there is space you can purchase a ticket on the day via the bar staff.
What's on the menu?
We offer freshly baked sour-dough pizzas from our wood fired pizza oven. We also now have a full kitchen, which offers a wide range of food, which is locally sourced where possible. Are there any gluten free options?

What precautions are you taking for Covid at present?
We operate in line with the government guidelines of Living with Covid. Should this guidance change, we will update accordingly.
Do I have to wear a mask in the Tap Room or Hangar?
No, although some visitors and staff may choose to.
If I have to cancel my reservation as I have Covid or its symptoms, who do I contact?

Can I use my Hogs Back gift vouchers/e-voucher in the Brewery Tap?
Unfortunately no. However, we are looking at special e-vouchers for the Brewery Tap in the future.
Can I leave my car overnight if I come to the Brewery Tap?
We request that you do not leave your car overnight as it is a shared site with other businesses.
Is there heating in the Hangar?
Yes, and we looking to improve further.
What should I do if I want to change my booking?
Please contact bar@hogsback.co.uk as soon as possible prior to your booking. We will try and accommodate the changes where possible but please see our full Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Can children attend the events?
Well-behaved children are able to attend events, unless otherwise specified at the time of booking, with a ticket. For the enjoyment of all our guests, we ask that children are supervised by their parents and that they do not disturb other guests.
Does the Tap Room has accessible loos?
Yes, the Tap Room does, but we regret the Brewery Shop currently does not.
Does the Tap Room have baby changing facilities?
Yes, the Tap Room has baby changing facilities.
What’s the maximum length of time I can book?
You can book your table for up to 3 hours.
What if I want to book more than 10 people?
If you’re booking for more than 10 people, please email bar@hogsback.co.uk to get booked in.
