What Covid-19 precautions are being put in place?
- We have taken the decision to run the celebrations over two days so that we can limit the number of visitors to a maximum of 1,500 people on both days.
- Signage at the entrance gates will remind anyone with Covid-19 symptoms that they unfortunately cannot attend the party.
- Adequate ventilation. The parties are outdoors, so there will be plenty of fresh air. The bar and food village will be under open marquees. The main marquee will also be open. Any indoor areas, such as the Hangar and Tap will be properly ventilated. The Brewery Shop will be closed to the public during the parties and merchandise will be sold from an open-air stall.
- Frequent cleaning. The toilets will be cleaned regularly throughout the parties. Card machines will be in use for the first time at the parties to allow contactless payment at the entrance gates, bar, food stalls and merchandise stand. Card machines will be wiped frequently. Reusable plastic glasses will be used to serve drinks from the bar. When you return the glass to the bar, you will be given a clean one rather than refilling a used glass. There will be plenty of hand sanitising points available on the day.
- The NHS Track & Trace QR code will be displayed at the entrance gates, so anyone may check in if they so wish. However, this will not be compulsory.
- Our staff have been regularly briefed and trained on our Covid-19 measures and this guidance will be reiterated ahead of the parties. The steps we are taking to mitigate risk will be on display at the entrance gates. Our staff have the option to wear masks if they so wish.
Full details of this guidance can be found at Events and attractions - Working safely during coronavirus (COVID-19) - Guidance - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
The government advises that we use personal judgement to help manage our own risk. Visitors will be welcome to wear masks and we will also be selling masks and snoods at the merchandise stand in case anyone wishes to buy one.
The comprehensive measures we are taking are in line with current government advice but should this change, we will update our policy and communicate this accordingly.
