Harvest 2025 going swimmingly
Matthew and the Hoppers are racing ahead with Hop Harvest 2025.

The hop bines have produced fewer hop cones than usual due to the hot, dry summer. But the size and quality of the cones is looking good!

With a mix of sunshine and heavy rain over the last 10 days, it has been a trying time for Matthew and his team of 80-strong Hoppers.

But all 14 rows of Farnham White Bine are in, and 51 rows of Fuggles have been harvested.

The hops are freshly cut, picked, dried, conditioned and packed in just 24 hours!

Thanks to the Hop Harvest Party Weekend, a temporary halt has been called on the harvest.

This will give the Cascade hops in the garden a little extra time to develop that all-important citrusy aroma. Matthew will be keeping a keen eye on the hops so that the Cascade can be picked at the peak of freshness.
