Drinks Retailing Awards 2022 Finalist!

The Hogs Back Brewery was in illustrious company this week at the Drinks Retailing Awards 2022, held at the Dorchester Hotel in London. 

These national awards honour retailers, who have delivered excellent service, range and value to create successful and profitable operations - from the major supermarket giants right down to the smallest of independent stores.

The Brewery Shop was nominated for......

Independent Beer & Cider Retailer
For the independent beer & cider retailer that has done the most to champion beer & cider and made it a core element in the success of its business in the past year
…….and in combination with the Brewery Tap for
Hybrid Retailer of the Year
This award goes to the independent drinks retailer that has most effectively combined on-trade and off-trade elements to contribute to the success of the business in the past year

Following a rigorous judging process, which involved a Mystery Shopper visit and an interview with the head judge, Hogs Back Brewery made it through to the final in both categories – just one of three finalists from the whole of the UK in each category.

Sadly we didn’t scoop any prizes, but it was quite an achievement for a small, family-owned brewery in Tongham.  The team swallowed its disappointment, not to mention a few drinks, and enjoyed the rest of the evening meeting up with like-minded individuals and friends from across the Drinks sector.

Now Rupert has set his sights on winning an award next year, so watch this space……
