2026 Hop Garden Open Evening

Join us for our annual Hop Garden Open Evening Wednesday 26th August from 6pm - 8pm.

Join one of the team to learn about the rich history of hop growing in the Farnham area and why Surrey used to be the pre-eminent hop growing county.

Understand why we built our own hop garden, just yards from the Brewhouse, and how we look after our hops.

Discover the different hop varieties, each with their unique character, we grow and which of our beers they feature in.

Learn the important difference between a male and female hop plant!

"Rub a hop" to release the all-important hop oils and much more.

The team will be on hand to show you round and give a 30-minute mini tour and talk in the hop garden itself.

Tours will be starting every 10 to 15 minutes from the Beer Garden.

On the night, check in at the Hangar and join one of the tours!

The last tour is scheduled for 7.30pm so don’t miss it!

It’s £5 per person which we will donate to this year’s chosen charity, Diabetes UK, and this includes a pint of Tongham TEA or Little Swine Alcohol Free Pale Ale.  A soft drink alternative will be available too.

Booking essential.

If you are a member of the Tongham TEA Club, it's free to book.  Just click through from the Tongham TEA Club invitation emailer.

Families welcome.  We regret dogs are not allowed in the hop garden, but are more than welcome in the Brewery Tap and Beer Garden.  No unaccompanied children.  Maximum of 2 people per booking.

The ground in the hop garden can be a bit uneven, so please wear appropriate footwear.  You will need to walk through a mild disinfectant “boot bath” as a biosecurity measure before you go into the hop garden.
