Watch your step!

The new 2022 vintage of A over T has just arrived back at the Brewery.  The only bottle-conditioned beer in our range, A over T, weighs in at a hefty 9% ABV and so is formerly classified as a Barley Wine.

But it won't be ready to drink for a few weeks yet.  It needs a secondary fermentation so we'll store it in the temperature controlled "warming room" for 6 weeks or so, to let the flavours really develop.

Last time the team brewed A over T, or Aromas over Tongham to give it its proper name, it went on to win CAMRA's Champion Bottled Beer of Britain 2020.  That's no mean feat!

Brewed with high quality English malted barley, Kent Goldings and Fuggles hops with Bramling Cross to further enhance the character, resulting in deep, rich and complex flavours of sultanas, orange peel and plums. 

So look out for the new vintage in store in September and don’t forget to squirrel some away for a special occasion.  Enjoy it like you would a fortified wine, in a wine glass or a brandy balloon, which will concentrate its wonderful aroma.

But if you can't wait until then, there's still some of the 2021 vintage, which is drinking very well indeed!
