The Hero IPA commemorative beer in support of Help for Heroes
To mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day on 8th May comes this commemorative beer, The Hero IPA.
The Hero IPA is brewed by Hogs Back Brewery in partnership with Alf Turner, a third generation, award-winning family butcher and long-term supporter of the Help for Heroes charity.
For every pint of The Hero IPA sold, part of the proceeds will be donated by Alf Turner to Help for Heroes, the charity created in 2007, which supports all military veterans, serving personnel, those who have served alongside the UK military, and their families.
A mellow 4% Indian Pale Ale, The Hero IPA is brewed with English Cascade hops grown at the Brewery and married with Mosaic hops from the USA. Smooth and full of citrus and tropical flavour.
Alf Turner, proud to support our nations heroes.
At the heart of every Alf Turner product lies a story of service, sacrifice and family. It all began with Grandad Alf – a proud British soldier and a humble butcher whose values shaped not just a family, but a legacy. This beer is more than just a pint, it’s a tribute to Grandad Alf and all those like him - with every purchase allowing us to give back to those who have given so much through our friends at Help for Heroes.
Here’s to honour. Here’s to heritage. Here’s to Alf.
For each The Hero IPA pint sold 6p will be paid to the Help for Heroes Trading Limited which gift aids its taxable profits to Help for Heroes (Registered Charity Number 1120920)
Coming soon to local pubs, the Brewery Shop and Brewery Tap so show your support!
To date, Alf Turner has raised over £300,000 for the Help for Heroes charity with donations from the sale of its products.
Help for Heroes is the leading Armed Forces and Veterans' charity in the UK, providing life-changing support for the very seriously ill and injured veterans and their families.
