Tongham TEA in Germany!

Our Tongham TEA made a rare foray to Germany last week in the hands of the Guildford Twinning Association.

After an absence of five years, the Freiburg Partner Cities (or Twin Towns) Fair once again adorned the streets of this beautiful German city and proved a great draw for its many visitors with a real holiday atmosphere.

All of Freiburg’s twin towns from around the world were represented. Alongside Guildford were Besançon in France, Padua in Italy, Granada in Spain, Innsbruck in Austria, Madison, Wisconsin in the USA, Tel Aviv in Israel, Isfahan in Iran, Suwon in South Korea, Matsuyama in Japan, Wiwili in Nicaragua and Lviv in Ukraine.

Marquees representing each twin town and its products, especially its food and drink, were visited by over thousands of fairgoers over the course of the week.  Guildford Twinning Association was more than happy to hand out over 1000 tasters of Tongham TEA and Surrey Nirvana, which seemed to go down rather well!  There were even a fair few enquiries as to whether we could courier more to Germany.  Prost!
