Tongham TEA Club taste England's Glory
England’s Glory went down a treat at the first Tongham TEA Club beer tasting of 2022 in the Brewery Tap last night.
Specially brewed by Head Brewery, Miles, for the Six Nations rugby, the robust malty notes of this 4.4% ale were appreciated by all.
Nearly 90 Tongham TEA Club members gathered to sample England's Glory. The verdict was very positive as the malty, honey notes of this cask ale, with its hint of citrus lemon, were savoured.
Miles chatted about the intricacies of the brew process and the ingredients.
Rupert was happy to answer questions about all the changes happening at the Brewery.
At his first TEA Club event, Rob introduced himself to the Tongham TEA Club members.
Mark and Jill chatted to some of our old friends and were pleased to welcome some new faces.
The Hoppers Sharing platter, Nachos and Hog Charcuterie boards paired nicely with England's Glory, as did the wood-fired, sour dough Special chicken & sweetcorn with BBQ sauce pizza. England's Glory received a very definite thumbs up.
Three hours passed by very quickly in such good company.
Confidence is high as England face Scotland away at Murrayfield!
