The MxX return to the Tap
A warm welcome greeted The MxX yesterday as they returned to the Hangar for a night of live music. A crowd of nearly 100 people enjoyed the pop and rock covers from the 60’s to the present day.
Kicking off with “Summer of ‘69” (Bryan Adams), the 90 minute set included the band’s personal favourites of Sweet Child O’ Mine (Guns N’ Roses), Times Like These (Foo Fighters), Long Train Running (The Doobie Brothers), Nutbush City Limits (Tina Turner), with some Queen and Abba for good measure!
Having enjoyed their first foray to Tongham in December from their usual stomping ground of Reading/Basingstoke, Kellie, who is a full-time Project Manager, was keen to “organise” a return visit for her fellow band members, and they did not disappoint.
Kellie on vocals, Chris on drums, Alex on guitar and Ryan on base, were met by an appreciative audience, who entered into the spirit of the evening and were even on their feet dancing. With plenty of pizzas and pints to go round, a good night was had by all.
