Make the Hogs Back Ale Autumn Casserole
There's definitely a slight chill in the air now and it's time to bring out your old friends, the cosy jumpers and warming comfort food.
Here's our super easy, slow cooker recipe for making a delicious Autumn Casserole, using either Advent Ale or OTT for a stronger taste which will definitely warm your cockles!
Slow cooked Hogs Back Ale Autumn Casserole
Ingredients
400g beef/lamb (fat removed)
400g new/baby potatoes
400g mushrooms (any kind! Mix it up if you like)
1 large onion
1 tin sweet corn
1 small butternut squash
2 large carrots
1 carton chopped tomatoes
2 bottles Advent Ale or OTT
2 tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
Pinch salt
2 tbsp Worcestershire and Soy sauce
Good pinch black pepper
2 vegetarian stock cubes
3 tbsp tomato puree
Directions
Chop meat & veg into 1 inch chunks & pop in to the slow cooker.
Add your Advent Ale or OTT and seasonings.
Give them a jolly good mix.
Cook for 5 hours on high, or low for 8-10 hours would work and handy for a work day.
Finish off with corn starch for thickening if desired.
