Over 250 guests took the opportunity to tour the hop garden on Friday at our Hop Garden Open Evening.
On a glorious summer’s evening, the event – back by popular demand after the interruption from Covid – was a sell-out success.
Armed with beer, our guests set off into the garden to get up close and personal with the hops.
Our illustrious set of tour leaders - Owner & MD Rupert, Hop Estate Manager Matthew, Head Brewer Miles and Tour Guide Ashley – shared their knowledge of hops and passion for hop growing.
The hops made a great backdrop for a selfie!
After the 40-minute informal tours, the guests were greeted with the tantalising aroma of hog roast (what else?) and more beer in the Hangar. We’re delighted so many stayed on to make an evening of it.
Matthew even took the opportunity to gather the Hogs Back Hoppers together for a sneak preview of the garden before harvesting begins next week.
