Exmoor Gold is Pouring

The iconic Exmoor Gold is pouring now in the Brewery Shop and Tap.

First brewed back in 1986, it was heralded as the first modern Golden Ale – in marked contrast to the traditional “brown” ales and coal-black Irish stouts of the day.

Now brewed here at Tongham, expect the same timeless traditional ale – bringing together a subtle caramel-tinged maltiness interlaced with citrusy fresh hop fruitiness.  All in all, a beautifully balanced 4.5% Golden Ale, with a bittersweet finish and hints of citrus fruit weaving in and out.

Brewed with three quintessential English hops in the copper – Fuggles grown here at the Brewery, Challenger and Goldings – and 100% Pale malt.

Pouring now in the Brewery Shop and Tap.
