Exmoor Gold in the Brewhouse
It’s busy in the brewhouse as the Brew Team takes on the mantle of brewing the iconic Exmoor Gold cask ale.
It was back in 1986 when Exmoor Gold launched – the first modern Golden Ale. Designed as a single-malt beer, Exmoor Gold was a stunning contrast to the traditional “brown” ales and coal-black Irish dry stouts of the day.

The colour of Chardonnay, Exmoor Gold brings together a subtle soft, caramel-tinged maltiness with citrusy fresh hop fruitiness. Expect a beautifully balanced 4.5% Golden Ale, with a bittersweet finish and hints of citrus fruit weaving in and out.

Brewed with three quintessential English hops in the copper – Fuggles grown here at the Brewery, Challenger and Goldings – and 100% Pale malt.

Coming soon on draught to the Brewery Shop and Tap.
