When Hogs Fly
When Battersea-based Mondo Brewing Company decided to brew a new cask ale, we’re delighted they approached us about a collaboration brew. With 30 years of experience under our belt, we like to think we know a thing or two about cask ale!
American founders of Mondo Brewing Company, Tom and Todd, wanted a sessionable American Pale Ale in cask. So it was over to Miles to come up with a recipe to fit the brief.
Tom came over to Tongham to see the brew through the brewhouse and was happy to muck in and lend a hand getting the hops into the copper with Marky A.
Brewed with homegrown Cascade as well as Mosaic in the copper, before being dry-hopped with both these hops and Cryo Citra for a real citrus blast, When Hogs Fly is a bit of a corker! Refreshing and hop forward, this 4.2% pale ale is perfectly sessionable.
When Hogs Fly will be released by Mondo as an exclusive in around 100 Fuller’s pubs, mainly in London, to coincide with American Independence Day on 4th July. But the good news is, we’ve squirreled away a few casks to sell in the Brewery Shop and Tap!
Look out for the distinctive pump clip, commissioned by Mondo designer, Luke Drozd.
So come on down to the Brewery Shop and Tap this weekend, while stocks last.
