Tongham TEA Club relaunches

Ever since the Hogs Back Brewery official members club, Tongham TEA Club [TTC], started over 9 years ago, we have had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of members, sharing a beer and chewing the fat with them. 

But it’s time for a shake up with a new range of benefits, including invites to exclusive events, as well as discounts in our Brewery Shop, online store, Tap and participating partners here at the Brewery Site.

At its heart, the paid members club remains the same.  It’s for like-minded beer enthusiasts, who are interested in their local brewery - people with whom we can share our new products and ideas, who will give us honest feedback and with whom we have built a strong community spirit.  It will always be more than just a discount scheme.

We hope you like our new range of benefits:

• Free joining gift – 4 free bottles of Tongham TEA - to collect from the Brewery Shop
• Free birthday gift – a free pint of beer from the Tap
• Half price Hop Harvest Festival ticket [£17.50 based on Gate price of £35]
• A minimum of 6 free members events a year including:
• Tastings and feedback – with a free Snifter of our chosen beer. You can bring one free guest along.
• Open Evening for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Brewery with a free pint
• Free entry to the Hop Blessing [public entry will be a £5 donation to our chosen charity]
• Free entry to the Hop Garden Open Evening [public entry will be a £5 donation to our chosen charity]
• We also hope to occasionally invite speakers to discuss beer and drinks related subjects to smaller groups of TTC members
• 15% off Hogs Back and One Planet draught beer from the Brewery Shop and online store [excluding already discounted products]
• 10% discount off Hogs Back and One Planet bottles and cans, Hogs Back gift packs and Hogs Back merchandise from the Brewery Shop and online store [excluding Tours, gift vouchers, tour vouchers, beers from other breweries, wines & spirits, food and already discounted products]
• 10% discount off draught and bottled beer in the Tap [excluding food, wines & spirits, soft drinks, teas & coffees etc and already discounted products]
• 10% discount off meat in Surrey Hills Butchers

• Pre-release of Hogs Back and One Planet draught beers exclusively to TTC members one day ahead of the public in the Brewery Shop and Tap
• We will look to add more on-site businesses if they want to join up to the scheme. 

Membership is £65 a year, the equivalent of just over £5 a month. 

All members will get an photo ID card.  You’ll need to show this card every time to qualify for a discount and when you come to an event.

Any new members joining as of Tuesday 12^th March 2024 will enrol straight into the new benefit package costing £65.

The existing Tongham TEA Club benefit package will cease on 31^st May 2024 but don’t worry!  If your Tongham TEA Club membership expires before then, you can rejoin for £65 to receive the updated membership package. 

If you are part-way through your membership, you can rejoin the Tongham TEA Club at any point up to 31^st May 2024 for the cost of £65 but we will discount this by £3.33 for every month remaining of your current Tongham TEA Club membership.

If you decide not to join up to the new benefits by 31^st May 2024, we will refund pro-rata your existing Tongham TEA Club membership at £3.33 per month.

Tongham TEA Club Relaunch T&Cs – published 11^th March 2024

The Tongham Club [TTC] is a paid members only club, with exclusive benefits for members.  There is an annual membership fee of £65 per annum per person as of 11^th April 2024.  These benefits will not be available to non-members.

The current Tongham TEA Club benefit package will expire on 31^st May 2024.  To enjoy the new benefits, existing Tongham TEA Club members will need to rejoin.  

If you are part-way through your Tongham TEA Club membership, you will be offered the opportunity to rejoin up to 31^st May 2024 for the cost of £65 for a one-year membership but we will discount this by £3.33 for each remaining month of your current Tongham TEA Club membership.  

If you decide not to join up to the new benefit package, we will refund existing Tongham TEA Club members pro-rata at £3.33 per month for your existing membership.

The Tongham TEA Club is only open to those of 18 years and over.  By joining the Tongham TEA Club, you confirm you are 18 or over.

Membership to the Tongham TEA Club can be purchased in the Brewery Shop and online store only.  Your personal details – name, email and date of birth [to ensure you are over 18 and to redeem your free birthday gift] will be required.  Please see our Privacy Policy for how your details are kept and used to communicate with you.

Each member will receive a unique photo ID card – by joining the Tongham TEA Club you agree to provide a digital passport size photo that clearly shows the face of the member.  This will appear on your unique ID card.  If you are gifting the Tongham TEA Club membership, the member will be asked to provide this photo before a card can be issued.

You must show your valid ID card every time you make a purchase to receive discount.  You must quote your valid unique membership number when making a purchase online to receive discount.  You must show your valid ID card when you attend an exclusive event.

Your valid ID card is non-transferrable and may not be used by a spouse, partner, family member, friend or other person to obtain discount or entry to an event.

If you do not show your valid ID card, Hogs Back Brewery and other participating companies will not be able to honour your discount.

There may be an admin charge of £3 to replace a lost ID card.

Event timings may be subject to change but full details of the tastings and tours will be published on the Tongham TEA Club section of the website and will be sent to you by email in advance.

Events may be restricted in numbers and will be booked on a first come, first served basis.  

Hogs Back Brewery will host a minimum of 6 Tongham TEA Club events per annum.  These events may change from year to year.  Members may bring one guest each to every Tasting.  Unfortunately for some events, it will not be possible to bring a guest if there are restricted numbers.  Details will be available on the Tongham TEA Club section of the website and via the email invitation.

At our beer tasting events, each member will receive 1.75 pints of our chosen beer free (served in a1 litre glass Snifter).  Members and guests can purchase additional drinks at the Bar. 

Our chosen beer is non-transferable and is only available at the event. 

If the guest joins the Tongham TEA Club at one of our events, the referring member will receive a £5 e-voucher to spend in the Brewery Shop or online as a “thank you”.

There is no discount on membership price if you are unable to attend any of the events.

Membership is for one year.  We regret we cannot refund membership once it has been taken out.

At the end of the membership, your ID card will expire.  If you renew your membership, you will be issued with a new card.  If you choose not to renew your membership, you will no longer receive the benefits.  We reserve the right to ask you to return any expired ID cards.

The new benefit package offered for membership from 12^th March 2024 is:

Hogs Back Brewery reserves the right to change or cancel the Tongham TEA Club scheme at any time. Changes to the benefit package may be made without notice but will provide alternative benefits which it believes is of comparable worth.

Hogs Back Brewery reserves the right to cancel the membership of any individual without notice if they are barred from the Brewery Shop or Tap.  In this case, no refund will be offered.

The estimated worth of the benefits is calculated on February 2024 prices.
