A buzzing night at the hands of The Bluescasters was enjoyed in the Hangar tonight.
With Nick on Guitar & Vocals, Rob on Bass and Vocals, Janos on Keyboards and Stuart on Drums, the Godalming-based, 4-piece band certainly raised the rafters!
There was plenty of support for the band, whose name was chosen by the founder members to reflect the style of music they wanted to make.
Founder member of The Bluescasters, Rob, describes their brand of blues as, “taking the original Delta blues songs and infusing it with some exuberant style British RnB as bands like the Stones, Fleetwood Mac and the Animals did in the Sixties…..Names like BB King, Freddie King, Elmore James and Jimmy Reed from the American roots, and more recently from Britain, Eric Clapton and Gary Moore. We love playing all of our songs and we would all pick different favourites I’m sure, but my personal favourites are Tell Riley and Talk to Me Baby – both great crowd pleasers in totally different ways”.
Lucky VIP ticket competition winner, Nikki, brought her husband and friends along to enjoy the evening with a complimentary Snorter and pizzas.
Much beer was imbibed by the audience, who took to their feet in the second half. All in all, a great night out.
