Pins put on a show
Out in the Hop Garden the hop plants are producing their pins.
These tiny little sprouting buds are the pre-cursors to the burrs, which in turn become the all-important hop cones, needed to brew our beers.
With the hops growing every skyward...
...now is the time the hop plants should be putting out their pins.
Hop Estate Manager will be keeping an eye on the warm weather, hoping for a good mix of summer sunshine and showers to keep the hops on track.
A beautiful time of the year! Even next door's wheat field is starting to glisten with gold.
