English Pilsner Takes its time
Brewing of the latest One Planet beer got underway this morning.
Taking inspiration from the classic European Pilsner, Senior Brewer Mark A has given this 100% solar-brewed beer his own English twist.

His 4.5% English Pilsner features the finest English-grown lager malts, together with 100% home-grown, heritage Farnham White Bine hops in the copper, and our own lager yeast.

Mark A will “lager” (from the German word “to store”) the beer for a month at low temperatures to let the flavours fully round but it will definitely be worth the wait!
Expect a pale, crystal clear brew, that’s clean and crisp, underpinned with the floral, earthy hop notes and just the right amount of bitterness you would expect in a lager.
Coming next month to the Brewery Shop and Tap.
Did you know?
The name Pilsner takes its name from the Bohemian city of Plzeň (or Pilsen) in Czech Republic, where the world’s first pale lager was produced in 1842 by Pilsner Urquell Brewery.
