"Juan" Planet

Fresh from One Planet Brewing Co comes a new 5% passionfruit lager. 

100% solar brewed with Pilsen lager malt, wheat and oats, together with Chinook and home-grown Cascade, with a touch of real passionfruit puree, expect a light, refreshing hazy lager with citrus and fruity, passionfruit notes.  Unfiltered and unpasteurised for maximum flavour.

Having nicknamed the project, “Juan Planet” after our fellow collaborator, Juan, the name has stuck!

Back in 2019, Juan Mayorga, founder of the acclaimed Peruvian brewery Cerveceria del Valle Sagrado [Brewery of the Sacred Valley] spent some time working at the Hogs Back Brewery alongside Miles and the team.  Read more

This time, Miles and Juan have teamed up to create a joint recipe using the same ingredients including a lager yeast, to brew the same beer on two continents.  Like an authentic lager, “Juan Planet” is currently maturing for 4 weeks and will be heading exclusively to the Brewery Shop and Tap in mid-December, as well as Juan’s Tap Room and bars in Peru!
