Halloween Porter Pouring Now

It’s no apparition – our ghoulishly good Trick or Trotters is here!

This wonderfully wicked 5% Chocolate Chilli Porter will cast its spell this weekend.

This Porter’s characteristic malty sweetness and bitter hoppiness comes from the medley of 6 malts – Ale, Munich, Cara, Carafa III, Chocolate and Naked Oats – and our peppery, home-grown, heritage Farnham White Bine hops.

But beware of this beer’s kick!  A full kilo and a half of fresh chillis, lightly smoked over woodchips by the Tap team, then pureed and added to the copper by the Brew Team, provide this Porter with plenty of character. 

So Treat yourself this Halloween.

Porter originated in London in the 1700s.  Dark and well-hopped, the name is believed to originate from its popularity with porters.
