Blackwater Coffee Porter lands in keg

Head Brewer Dewald is switching it up and for the first time is serving Blackwater Coffee Porter in keg.

This 5% porter is full of beans – quite literally. There’s 4kg of real ground coffee, from local roastery Coffee Real, percolating in the copper, which gives this complex porter its authentic coffee flavour. That’s just under 2g of coffee beans per pint!

Brewed with 100% heritage White Bine hops, grown here at the Brewery, it’s the medley of malts, including Chocolate, Crystal, Munich, Pale, Carafa and wheat, which provide the strong malt backbone and colour.

Expect rich coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt notes from this ebony porter, before a clean bitter finish.  Serving in keg gives that extra carbonation, a burst of aroma, together with super smoothness and mouthfeel. Not recommended as your morning cuppa!
