We may talk a lot about hops and our 8 acre hop garden, but barley is also an integral part of the brewing process. Across the country, the fields of barley have already turned a wonderful golden colour in the glorious sunshine. The first barley is being harvested now.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be following the harvest with Muntons and taking a look at what it takes to be a maltster. Based in Suffolk and now in their 100th year, Muntons is one of our malt suppliers, providing our Pale malt, which goes in almost every one of our brews.
