Toasting the Tap!
The great and the good of Surrey gathered together to mark the official opening of the Brewery Tap in Tongham on Thursday 20th February 2025. Following its two-month refurbishment, the Tap is proudly sporting a new floor, a bigger and better bar and new tables, chairs and sofas – all designed to make our visitors more comfortable.
The refurbishments is thanks, in part, to a grant from the Rural Prosperity Fund, courtesy of Surrey County Council.
Our thanks go to our guest of honour, Mrs Caroline Breckell, Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey, who graciously opened the Tap with a speech, proposed a toast and cut the ribbon. Our thanks also go to Councillor Sallie Barker, Mayor of Guildford, and to Councillor Brodie Mauluka, Mayor of Farnham, for attending the evening.
Over 300 VIPs, friends, family and supporters enjoyed a pint or two of beer at this glittering occasion to make a real evening of it.
Canapes from Head Chef Danny went down a treat....
...... as did the acoustic music set from local singer-songwriter, Luke Edney.
