Hogs Back Brewery - Brewer

Hogs Back Brewery, famous for TEA, Traditional English Ale, is Surrey’s largest independent brewery and is also the largest brewer grower of hops in the UK, supplying 70% of our own requirement.

We are seeing continued growth and are looking to recruit an experienced Brewer to join the team.

The hands-on role entails all aspects of beer production from raw materials to final product including:

·         All Brewhouse operations

·         Fermentation management

·         Beer processing

·         Cask cleaning and racking

·         Brewery hygiene

·         NPD

·         Process improvement

·         New plant commissioning

The ideal candidate will have:

·         Commercial brewing experience and brewing qualifications

·         Will be physically fit and highly motivated

·         Have good time management and organisational skills

·         Good knowledge of HACCP and H&S requirements

·         Good interpersonal skills with a calm demeanour and a good sense of humour

·         A strong interest in the developing craft beer market and a vision and imagination to help take us forward

·         Should ideally live within 30 minutes of the brewery

This is a great opportunity to increase experience and knowledge in the brewing industry with a friendly, fast growing and innovative family brewer. You will work closely with Senior Brewer and Head Brewer, and we will provide training in brewing and general management skills. We will support further qualifications, so you become a key, long term member of our team.

Market level salary, growing as the business succeeds. Bonus scheme linked to achieving stretching targets over budget (after first 6 months).
