Retail Assistant

Hogs Back Brewery is a thriving, family-owned business with a loyal customer base and a great reputation in the local area and beyond.

The Brewery Shop and online business is a key revenue and profit generator for the business and has grown considerably in the last 18 months.  Building from this base, we are looking to take the business to the next level.

This is a varied and busy customer-facing role, helping to deliver revenue and profit targets, as well as delivering exceptional customer service.  Working as part of a team, your focus will be on the day-to-day operation in the Shop and online business and will include:

• Pouring beer from the Brewery Shop cellar
• Serving customers
• Processing and preparing web and Local Delivery orders
• Merchandising

The ideal candidate will have retail experience, an interest in beer and the desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

We will also be looking for good communication and IT skills, as well as an ability to roll your sleeves up on a day-to-day basis.

Ideally living within 15-20 minutes of the Brewery, you will join our pool of staff, working flexible hours and shifts across the week and weekends.  You may be offered additional hours, particularly in busy periods.
