Digital Marketing Manager at Hogs Back Brewery

Hogs Back Brewery is a thriving, family-owned business with a loyal customer base and a great reputation in the local area and beyond. 

At the heart of our company is the brewing operation. This is supported by a healthy, growing retail business: Brewery Shop, Brewery Tours, Brewery Tap, live Events programme, private hire space and an expanding online presence via our own website and third-party selling sites such as Amazon, Not On the High Street and Virgin Experience.  It is underpinned with an established direct-to-Trade business (pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and specialist bottle shops).

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with responsibility for the digital marketing across the business including the community and sustainability agenda.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be familiar with the digital marketing environment across social and search channels.  A knowledge of paid, PPC and SEO would be an advantage.  You will have the drive to grow our on- and off-line business growth through Digital.

This role would be perfect for a candidate, who has recently graduated with a Marketing or Digital Marketing degree and looking to start out on their career or someone with a minimum of one year’s relevant experience and a proven track record of success in the digital environment.

In this role, you will be able to showcase your knowledge to:

- create relevant and engaging content, including original videos and photos

- own and execute all social media activity including LinkedIn to meet Key Performance Indicators

- develop the paid digital marketing strategy

- produce regular e-marketing campaigns including newsletters

- own the website to drive online sales and manage dynamic web content including regular blog updates

- drive third party sales on Amazon, Not On The High Street and Virgin Experience

- develop brand artwork via AI

- Depending on experience, lead or help develop the Online strategy

- Help scope and implement a new CRM system for end March 2025

Working alongside the Director of Marketing, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects including the development of a digital advertising campaign and the launch of a new brand with sustainability at its heart.

You will be instrumental in shaping the Online strategy, as well as bringing together all the relevant strands of the business to drive long-term brand awareness and loyalty as well as helping to develop a unique tone of voice.

You will be interested in the beer category, as well as the latest consumer and industry trends and be able to share your digital expertise within the wider business.

Ideally living within 30 minutes of the Brewery, you will work a 40 hour week on site at the Brewery, with the option to work one day a week at home.

Salary will be dependent on level of experience.  A bonus scheme will be set against achievement over budget.  Contributory pension scheme.  25 days holiday a year. Brewery Shop and Tap discounts.
